Picked up my first pair of mx boots at Rec Supply yesterday. Feel more constrictive than the cast I ended up in last season! Hope they keep me out of another one this season, but they feel pretty impossible to ride in right now.

What kind of boot did you get? I know my boots took a while to break in, but now some yen years later they are more comfortable than my slippers:) hope they break in for you!

I got the youth fox comp 5. They were pretty cheap, good to try out before investing in a better pair. If they work out, there's a pair of Gaerne boots I'd like. I might be stuck with youth though for size I couldn't do it!! Put my old boots back on to go for the first spin of the season. Psyched myself out I guess. Next time!

I don't know if this helps for future boot purchases, but both the entry level (aka "cheap") Thor boots I've purchased were pretty comfy right out of the box. After too many injuries I'll never ride without a bike specific boot. It's just to easy to lose and ankle or similar without em.

Boots are the most important piece of safety gear you will wear except for your helmet. Mine have saved my feet and legs from more severe damage countless times. Shorty - stick with them - you'll be happy you did when your bike falls on your leg or that branch whacks you in the shins!

I had motorcycle specific boots, just not mx boots. Mx boots looked like over kill when I started two years ago! How quickly things change Awesome video! Thanks very much! I'll try breaking them in a bit and wear them for sure this weekend.
