Looking at buying a new Helmet. I'm looking at the AGV EVO, Shoei Hornet or the Arai XD4. I really like the AGV in the white, black and red. $400 for the AGV, $550 for the Shoei and the Arai is over $700 so I don't thing I will buy the Arai... over my budget. So it's between the Shoei and AGV. Anybody have experience with AGV helmet? Any dealership carrier them in Saskatoon?

I try to stay away from new brands because they are normally not around when I need a shield. I have a Bieffe and a KBC with that problem already. I also find that the cheaper helmet don't do well with me. My last cheap helmet was a Zox and I had to replaced it after only 3 months. I normally ride 5 to 7 days a week for 5+ months of the year accumulating 10 to 20K km a year. I have a Bell at the moment and I like it but I'm looking for Adventure type of helmet right now.

For my square head, nothing fits better than a Shoei. I have a Hornet and really like it. I have a buddy who commutes daily in a Hornet and does long trips and it is still in good shape. Needed a couple of visors but they are easily found unlike the more lesser known brands.

I got my Arai XD on Ebay for just over $500 delivered. If you go that route it's more affordable, but I advise you to try one on at a local store first to see what size you need and how it fits.
I know lots of people who have the Shoei and like it. I think they make good quality stuff. Don't know anything about the AGV though. If you buy it let us know how you like it.

And here I was checking out your Bell helmet last weekend? I want a modular helmet and I liked the pop down tinted visor. Mark did not really like his because he said it was noisy and leaked in the rain!
Any suggestions for this type of helmet Gentleman?

I am on my second Zox Genesis RN2 SVS. They are cheaper helmets at $150 but fit me very well, better than lots of more expensive I tried on. Modular with a drop down sun visor. I always attach (pop rivet) on a sunshade to my shields as well which makes riding into the sun so much better. You can pick up the visors for any helemt and adapt them to fit to the shields. Tryed an open face this spring and find that I am using it less and less now in favor of the Zox.
