The center rib would make it pretty smooth on the street. I wonder how grabby they would be in the gravel.
I have been happy with my tourance, but they only have maybe 2000km left, so I have been looking at alternatives.

The regular Tourance are rated at 15 to 20% off road and the EXP 95/5% road/offroad. I never tried the regular Tourance but I had the EXP and ContiTrailAttack before. I also tried both the Mitas E07 and Heidenau K60, and both are rated 50/50 and they were far better off road but they are very noisy on paved roads. I thought that they were very good off road, gravel and in light mud. In heavy/sticky mud you need knobby. Those new TKC70 look like a 60/40 front and a 70/30 rear and I'm thinking that they should be a lot quieter. I'll try a set next year for sure!

I bet that single-sided swingarm makes it easy to change a tire! And as a bonus you don't have to worry about replacing chain and sprockets!

Check out the Heidenau K60 on the KLR. The Kenda's were good, but at the second set this year wore faster than I expected. , at 29,500Km's on the clock, time will tell how they stand up.
