I also decided to replace my old D606 tires with new Kenda Trakmasters. Thanks to a birthday and upcoming father's day it feels like freakin' Christmas around here!

Interesting, I'm sure they'll work very well at PLP, but the gravel travels may chew them. Like i say interesting to see how they'll work! |

Hey that's great because I was going for interesting!  In all seriousness, I have nothing against the 606, but the price of the Kenda tires makes it hard not to at least try them out. I'll let you guys know how the experiment turns out. |

I think you'll really like the Trakmaster...expecially at the price point. They aren't as good on the blacktop as a 606 but perform noticeably better everywhere else. Night n day difference in our often sandy conditions which you gotta love! Unless you're slabbin' it too far...then the buzzing feels like you have a beehive in your underwear

I guess I should remember to subscribe to my own thread so I see the replies a bit sooner! Thanks Poindexter for the heads up. I don't mind slab, but certainly prefer playing in the dirt a lot more. Al, YES, I was just about to post a thread seeking suckers, I mean fellow club members, to come over for a tire change evening. I've got lots going on all week but am definitely flexible. What's your schedule like? |
