what file format does the verb use?? what kind of battery life? i have a drift hd... and it sucks. The battery life is brutal, maybe get 3/4 hour on standby and a ten min vid and its done. huge files sizes of low quality vid in mov format.

GPS files are stored in .gpx format. Video files are stored in MP4 format. Photos are .jpg. You can use all of these files individually, or you can use the Virb Edit software from Garmin to combine them so you can get the GPS data in the video. That's what I did for the short clip I posted on this thread.

Battery life is not quite what I hoped. I haven't run it for a full day yet, but I think it would be around 2 1/2 hours with the GPS running. If you leave the wifi on it's quite a bit shorter, but no reason to do that while riding. Easy to pop the battery out and change it if you bring a spare. There's also a charger kit available so you could have one charging while the other is in the camera.

I love it so far.
