I am a 650 Strom rider as well, not in Saskatoon though.
I am sure the Saskatoon group will be replying soon though as weekly rides are done regularily.

Hi DJZee. You bring up a good point - we should be setting up a weekly coffee or something. There are weekly rides but they tend to be a bit more off-road than a V-Strom might like. I ride an F800GS and wouldn't mind getting out sometime for a bit of a ride.
One thing you can do is check out the TCAT route on Graveltravel.ca. It passes by Saskatoon and has some good prairie riding. Parts might be a bit slimy right now in the spring and with the recent rain, though, so be a bit careful. The canal roads around Broderick are fun to ride, and some of the northeast Sask stuff in the forest is a lot like mountain gravel roads (minus the elevation changes!)
