The KTM 790 is now out as a Duke but it may also come in 2 off road version in 2019, Adventure and Adventure R. https://www.autocarindia.com/bike-news/ ... ing-408337The Adventure. The Adventure R prototype release last year. 790 Duke just been release.

Why do they keep putting dirtbike seats on Adv bikes? If I want to ride a 790 it's because I plan to do some serious miles. If I don't plan to do serious miles, I'd ride a 690 or a 500 EXC.
Maybe the aftermarket guys convinced them, but you could make an aftermarket dirt seat for those guys that plan to ride it more off-road and make the factory seat something you could actually sit on for more than 15 minutes.

The adventure R and the Adventure look like they have different seats, windscreen and mudguard.

I'm also waiting for that one(KTM390Adv). The KTM390adv may hit the right amount of power and on/off performances at a sub 400cc displacement(hello SGI). I'm booked on Thursday to demo the G310GS. Really want to see what the engine is like. Also booked N nine T Urban Enduro just for fun.

Give us a good report on the GS. I want to know all about it. It will be very gutless compared to your 800, but if it cruises fine on the highway on a breezy day or up slight inclines that would be a big plus.
Other than the power, the Rally Raid kit will take care of any other issues, I'm sure.
