Long overdue! If KTM made a 650-800 cc twin adventure bike I'd be taking a good look at it now. As it is, I'll probably go with the Triumph if I can...

So I wonder what kind of weight class this will fall into. Will it weigh less than the discontinued 990? Or just more off road out of the box than the F800GS and Tiger.

I'm hoping it's going to be a lighter, and more offroad capable adventure bike than the f800gs. The 1190 Adv R is just a few pounds heavier than the f800gs and arguably better offroad out of the box. I hope this new 800 adventure will be more like a successor to the old 640 adventure.
