Alright gents, it sounds like fork oil is going to get looked at for piece of mind... It's a fluid, I guess it is technically never too early to change, only too late... And brake fluid, that's getting done also, it's an 09, no idea if he did it before I got the bike, mine is yellow/very very light brown. Thanks guys, much appreciated. This will give me something to toy around with in May!

Oil in forks is something I should be looking at on my bike. Maybe we'll have to have a fork day this spring. My shop would be available for this event!
I have no idea how to go about doing this? I guess I will have to make another effort to get my Clymers manual back from Scuba Steve.

I still don't have a clue can how to change the oil in my front forks after all that!

At the same time you could upgrade the front to progressive springs and heavier oil. If you also install a fork brace, it would be a huge improvement over the stock setup.
