Are you a tourist or an adventurer? Here's how to tell the difference:
Tourists take the bus, taxi, train or airplane Adventurers take their own mode of transportation
Tourists are led around by guides Adventurers find their own way
Tourists "see" the country Adventurers "experience" the country
Tourists have suitcases Adventurers have panniers
Tourists want to rest and relax Adventurers want to learn and understand
Tourists go to see the scenery Adventurers become part of the scenery
Tourists get ripped off by the local people Adventurers are embraced and welcomed by the local people
Tourists flock to where other tourist go Adventurers try and get away from these tourist places
Tourists take a lot of photos of other people Adventurers get a lot of photos taken of them
Tourists have have the same photos in their photo albums Adventurers see the world from an entirely different perspective
Tourists travel from city to city and see nothing in between where the real country is hiding from them Adventurers have their eyes open to the entire country
Tourist only experience a world that they want to see and feel comfortable in Adventurers experience it all - both good and bad
And that is the main reason why there are many more tourists than adventurers Tourists don't want to see the truth. They just want a vacation - a mundane get away from an otherwise ordinary life.
It's good to be an Adventure Rider!
