Where is the picture with 0 rating on it?

I'm assuming this means on the big adventure bikes since level 5 is dirt bike like trails.

The minimum would be a Klr 650, So yes the scale is for big bikes. I like this scale because it give you an idea of your riding abilities on different riding conditions.

I did a few expert level trails on big bikes before but my riding skllls were yellow and something red. This is when the fun begain and friends pull you out!

Edit: or you spend the night in the wood with out your camping gear... Ron!

Nice scale. Useful to compare. I would not say I fit into any of the categories completely. For example, on water crossings I could probably rate a level 5, but for hills and obstacles probably a 4 - I'm assuming the yellow range because for anything in levels 4 and 5 you probably have to be Chris Birch to ride it without having to worry about ever falling or damaging the bike. Zero falls is next to impossible when the terrain gets tough.

My experience is also on smaller bikes than what Eric tends to ride. On a 1200GS I'd probably be in the intermediate as well, but a KLR is a lot smaller and lighter. My 800 is closer to the KLR, but makes me more nervous. Maybe between 3 and 4 with that bike.
