Wow! It's been that long already?? My black KLR looked pretty good in that picture too.
If I can at all make a Cypress ride I'm in. I agree with Ken that the campsite we had last time was really good. Gotta get a headlight protector for the 800 though to avoid the $683 replacement light I needed last time!

I think the camp grounds open up mid-late May around there; Sask parks site shows the 17th being the first time I could attempt to reserve.

Cold up there in May. I've spent a few first weekends of May up at Elkwater, and it's normally -2 at night.

We did a May group camp/ride there for a couple years in a row. The last time we went that early in the year there was still so much snow and melting that it made riding difficult. I think it's better to do Cypress hills in the fall

Snow in the hills is common for that area in May due to the high altitude, wet/heavy/ and can be lots of it
