I have loaded some stupid heavy things in my f150, haven’t had an issue yet. Worst has got to have been an old rx 1 ton Yamaha sled, though a milling machine this winter that i had to set down on the tailgate was probably heavier. A puny motorcycle? Shouldn’t stress anything.

Not about weight. Holding your tailgate up far as possible if u can't close it

these look cool, may have to fab up something similar/temporary - new bike is longer and can't shut tailgate properly, but can't pull the trailer with it down, I was considering removing it but half way seems like a good compromise.
