jdawg proved it can happen to us too, so best to be careful out there.
There is a time and a place to horse around on a motorcycle, but in-traffic on the street is not it. Of course it could just be a simple mistake that gets you. I've made a few, but luckily they didn't cost me so big.

Tonight on the news they said that speed wasn't a factor, and that the rider was going at or possibly slightly above the speed limit. They figured maybe he lost traction due to gravel on the road, so everyone be careful of the gravel we always see at this time of year.
Remember, gravel on a gravel road is like marbles on dirt, whereas gravel on a paved road is like marbles on concrete. There can be a pretty big difference!
