What would you guys recommend for a GPS. My last GPS was a Garmin Quest which is no longer made. It worked great (and still does), was easy to use and reliable. I used this on a street bike for years and had zero problems. Now that I am getting more into the dual sport end of things I need something capable of that. However, I would like to be able to use it for travel by road as well as offroad and want something a bit more versatile. I am kind of partial to Garmin as I have never had a problem with them and their support is top notch. Seeing as there is such a wide selection available now, any input would be appreciated.

Garmins are great units, but I hate how anal they are about protecting their data. It always causes all sorts of hassles when you get new maps or a new unit.

Anyway if you don't want to drop the big $$ for a Montana, you could look at the new Etrex units. Very similar to the Montana but without the touch screen. Not as convenient for controlling the unit, but it only costs about 1/3 the price. And you can do satellite imagery with them too (as I believe you can with the Montana and Dakota units).

I really like the birds eye imagery.
