I rolled my ankle on Sunday, and thought if I only ride around the city a little tonight I won't have to put my foot down much (never mind the pain of cramming a sprain into boots). So of course I get a nail in the back tire, which results in my first flat on the bike! (which results in some heavy braking with the sore foot, and a scary experience). Here's hoping i can get it repaired by the weekend! Had plans to ride

John, when you have bad luck riding, you toss your bike around a bit and fix it on the trail. When I have bad luck riding, my bike tosses me onto the trail! But InLandSea makes a good point. He's top of the unlucky ladder. I took another spill on Friday, not sure I'll get in any fall riding in now either, if you need bitter company to commiserate with. I'd post a picture of my mangled leg, but it all pales in comparison to a x-ray with screws! (and I'm vain, and mangled legs are ugly).

Yea ....shit happens! I just look at it as part of the adventure (guess I have to).
No matter how much care one takes, no matter how well protected you are, no matter how slow you ride......stuff can still happen.
I hope everyone's injuries heal up and that everyone is a little wiser for the trouble.....I know I will be.
Cheers, J
