If you put the Versys twin motor in the KLR you would have the perfect adventure touring bike. A new seat might be nice too, but that's easy to fix. C'mon Kawasaki - it's so easy! You don't even need to design a new engine or bike! Just fit the Versys motor to the KLR. :evil:

As for keeping up with Calltrex's KTM 350 in Nisbet - not gonna happen on that KLR! :lol:

The black frame and rims on that new KLR are nice...

That would be awesome kiffer

... its too bad that the adventure touring class seems to be all about 1200cc behemoths more suited to roads than anything else. Even KTM has gone that route with their new 1190 Adventure. It looks pretty much like the other bikes in that category (1200gs, super tenere, triumph explorer, etc). At least it doesn't have a beak! :lol:

I guess that's what sells these days.

KTM really should make an adventure version of the 690 instead of leaving it up to us to buy $5K aftermarket kits to convert the enduro into an adventure.

Wish the 690 came with a bigger tank and a more comfy seat. Add a skidplate and it's a great road/trail adventure mount.

The orange (yellow?) KLR paint for 2013 is awesome. It looks like it's worth twice as much just because of the colour and scheme - BMW/KTM colours make bikes look expensive. The green still looks like a KLR though.
