If anyone goes to southeast USA you need to stop at Barber Motorsports Park (Birmingham) and see their museum. They say 1200 motorcycles that they rotate in and out of the display. There are 5 full floors at any given time, mostly motorcycles and a few race cars. Some of the old technology is simply amazing. Go 20 minutes down the road and you are at Talledega Superspeedway. And then if you are bored there is a bigass Bass Pro Shop next door to Barber.
Susan not quite as excited about all this as I was

Thank you so much for sharing those. I think you would need a couple 3 months to look at everything. I could stand and look all day at the MVAgusta and the Britten Beautiful!!!

Pretty neat, Stan. When and why did you find yourself down there?

We went to Birmingham for a Maroon 5 concert, then toured Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, spent a few days at Myrtle Beach as well. Beautiful country, great people and lots of history.

Did you do the touring on a bike? I was in North Carolina in January, and headed up through Virginia to Washington DC. Nice part of the country, but a lot flatter than I thought it would be. I guess the Appalachians are further west.

The area around Birmingham is quite hilly and the whole area is forest with a few blocks of farmland scattered about when you get to Georgia. Flattens out in South Carolina but still mostly forest. We were in a rental car, it was still pretty cool in March much below normal
