Any interest? The Calgary show is this coming weekend. I'm planning to head out Friday after work sometime, hotel in Drumheller, and hit the show Saturday morning. Then probably drive back Saturday night. Splitting the hotel room makes it a lot cheaper!
Timbits, we should hook up for a coffee or beer or something. I've sent you a PM with my cell # - you can call or text. Email works well too - I get that on my phone.

Leaving for the Edmonton show on the afternoon of Jan 17 and staying at the Marriott on Jasper Ave over night. KLR-Ken, a friend of mine and myself are going. Will be at the show all day Saturday. Anybody else going? Just PM one of us and we can meet on Saturday Night or at the show.

Aw crap! Some stuff came up for work and I can't go to Calgary now. But I get two weeks on Long Island later this month (working, but at least it'll be warmer than here!) I was there at the beginning of February 2012 and it was +16 out - their weather can vary a lot!

EICMA 2017 in Milan Italy in Nov. This should be a great year for mid size adventure bikes. Yamaha should have a 700, KTM an 790 and BMW an 850gs.
The F850GS will be there. From what I read it should have around 100hp.
Looks like a TFT display and tubeless Rims.

The bottom end looks bloated like a flat twin or crash bars they covered in plastic. I guess I imagine more '690 adventure/rally fairing kits' or like their big adventure bikes than a Duke model with ground clearance and hand guards.
However, you can't call KTM boring design wise or that they lack in the engineering department. That's always enough to get excited over.
