Well, I didn't get nearly as much riding in in 2013 as I'd have liked, but I did manage to get out to Alberta for the Alberta Dual Sport Motorcycle Club's Crowsnest Ride in August. Timbits was the other SDSC member that made the ride, and it was good to meet him and get out for a ride. He put his DR650 through its paces, that's for sure.
Here's a video I made of the first riding day - August 9th.

It's 22 minutes long, so take a whiz and grab a beer beforehand! I'll try to get around to making and posting videos of the August 10th and 11th rides too, but with how long it took me to get this one together it may be a while yet. August 10th was more of the same, with slightly gnarlier trails and August 11th was about a 300 km gravel roads ride over to Cranbrook and back.
This is a great area to ride off-road. There was a group riding the more hard-core single track, but I stuck with the dual-sport group that was into riding the less gnarly stuff. It was still challenging enough for me though - and I knew it would be.
