Went for a loop around some of the north country today, a bit over 400 kms around Candle Lake, McDougal Creek and Lower Fishing Lakes.
We has a close call again this spring with an ice jam at Wapiti but it let go before it pushed any of the buildings off their foundations. Still lots of ice cubes to melt though. It cleared all the willows off the islands again.
Candle Lake is solid ice yet except a few feet at the shore
The remains of the tornado that went through between Candle Lake and Ispochaw Lake a number of years ago
Tried a little fishing at White Gull and McDougal Creek but the trout were not biting
This is what the atv trails looked like if they were shaded at all. This is the one just south of McDougal Creek campground
The road going into McDougal Creek campground still had a bit of snow/ice/and mud on it and yes I feel over in the sand
Some photos of Lower Fishing Lakes campground
No bikinis on the beach today
Snow diving I guess

The Strom is running great. Installed the Racetech emulators this spring and am real pleased with their performance on the rough stuff. Sure a lot less harsh over the bumps. I am going to stick with the gel seat as I do find it better over longer stretches.

Glad to hear the gel seat workin out well. I've got a couple of mods for mine to do asap including peg lowering kit and fork brace. Not too many kms yet this spring, but commuting on it downtown most days. We should meet up somewhere for a ride one day.
