Went up for a ride Saturday. We unloaded the bikes at a bible camp parking lot just off hwy 11. We rode on the east side of the highway in the morning. Got right down to the south sask river.
It was a bit of a slow moving day since we were all running 50/50 tires and we had a big klr in the group. 50/50s and sand definitely don't mix!
In the afternoon we rode up to macdowall and tried to find entry to the trails. Didn't find anything till we got up to Lilly plain. Again battled sand all afternoon. Overall was a very good ride.
Can't wait to go again but I think I'll order a set of trakmasters for the drz first. Any suggestions on where to unload and ride from next time?

I've only ever ridden on the West side of the Highway. Turned off at Duck Lake and went up to the forest from a gravel road. You can unload at the edge of the forest or even drive in a bit and unload in the forest if the vehicle is capable.

Yeah that's kinda what I was thinking of doing next time. Found an app that let me load the nisbet map file that is on the forum so that should help a lot
