i got so many air miles to Points north landing, that i don't really want to fly anymore...
but riding to get the t-shirt , thats something to reconsider,

We wanted to start early so we met/left from Martinsville at 05:30am. After a quick stop in PA for gas, we were soon after in La Ronge. We refueled are bikes, went to Subway to grab some subs and stopped at the hardware store to pick up extra bungee cords. At the hardware store we met this interesting character, Barefoot Mick. He had some pretty good stories and told us he was part of a story on CTV. Next stop Otter Rapids,
Just after the bridge you can find a camping site for just $15. We decided that it was a great location to eat the subs we bought in La Ronge and take a 30 mins break.

Brabant, 180Km from La Ronge. I normally get 5.2L per 100km when riding at 120km/h with the F650GS but, we were riding between 60 to 80Km/h and my computer was indicating 3.3L per 100km for a range of over 400km on a 16 liters tanks. I was really happy about those numbers. Also one important point, La Ronge is the last place where you can buy booze on the way north  . The cooler I was carrying was excellent to carry food, a good place for storing fish but also an excellent liquor cabinet .

We had a good chat with the women at the front desk in Brabant. She was very helpful and she gave us good information about what to expect on the way up and locations to get fuel. She told us she never sees any motorcycles going up north but she saw one solo rider last week... Snobear?
At the bridge at Wathaman Lake on the 905, I caught our next meal, a nice looking Pickerel in just 5 mins.
Once back on the road we were at 147KM outfitters in just over 30mins.

Once all fuelled up, we went back a few Km's to a camp site that we were told about in Brabant, really nice place she said.
Captain Morgan, I'm ready to have some rum!
Getting some fresh water.
Enjoying the million dollar view.
A bit of fishing, but no luck this time.
Pickerel for supper, a few drinks, a camp fire and that's it for day one...3 more days to go.
