been a long time since august kooteney ride and have the itch to go for a longer ride again. 2 of us are heading south, backroads and twisties and plan to take about a week to get to las vegas. we are leaving the bikes there in storage and will fly home. we can go back during the dark days of winter and play and then ride them home in spring. Looks like its the Bandit's turn at bat, klr is at lake and fjr is needed here for late fall and spring rides. Weather looking good for the ride, will warm up as we go south and good clothing, lectric grips and lectric vests will help.Plan a leisurely week to get there,then work out a plan to get home

incredible twisties all way to Vegas. 4200 km down thru montana( one snowy pass) and then idaho, oregon, and california. Saw Crater lake, Tahoe, Death valley and cleaned tires edge to edge. Bandit and its friend, the Hondapottamus (wing) are now resting in Vegas, walking distance from the strip. We are planning a return ride after xmas for a week. Temps from there to Palm springs (joshua tree park) and on to Oceanside ,ca. are reasonable...1 at nite to 14 plus daytime....and lots of twistie roads. Will keep me going till Klr comes out in spring. However planning a Fjr ride to cabin tomorrow to visit the klr and have a hottub and glass of wine

File comment: 6000 ft drop from Tahoe area down almost straight stretch to death valley... temp went from 5 degrees to 25 in minutes.

Someday I will do that every year. Looks awesome!
You sure took the long way to Vegas if you went through Tahoe and Death Valley - but then the long way is usually the best way on a bike!
