The girlfriend now has a dual sport as well. Went to regina this weekend to pick up this 05 KL250 (super sherpa) i dug through it on Sunday and am thrilled with the mechanical condition, it has 6200km on it and seems to have been well taken care of.
come on summer!

Great looking Sherpa, looks like they have a low seat height as well.

I like those Sherpas, but they always had the low front fender which made them look ugly. This one has a high front fender and looks great! I think they're solid bikes.

Well i've developed a love hate relationship with the DT, i bought it in the freezing cold out of a tarp shed in north battleford - and really should have given it a better inspection/paid a bit less. I don't feel like anyone was negligent - just didn't know any better - or just isn't as anal as i am.
The good: 1 kick starts - very easy Piston looks to be in good shape when inspected through the exhaust valve hole.
The bad: Every part number i've looked up is obsolete - really crappy cross reference info So far i've noticed that there are 2 broken rear spokes, a handful of loose front ones - full set ordered, will replace the broken ones for now and any seized. one of the mirror mounts was cracked - replaced lever and mount. the oil injection cable had come off - adjusted throttle cable Replaced brake fluid, oil, injection oil, fork oil, coolant. Sprockets/chain are due - rears are impossible to find - no JTS listed for it, found one close that will some hole enlarging should work. - over an hour wasted a yamaha for them to tell me they can't get one. upper chain roller is chewed - replaced Rear chain guard is broken off - looking for one that crosses still. head bearings loose - greased and set up power valves don't work - dont look like they have ever been out - cables out of adjustment - soaking in varsol now. Battery went flat - super low on fluid - distilled water and refilled. Front brake is glazed and doesn't stop well at all - New rotor and pads installed. Suspension is extremely soft/sloppy - adjusted the rear shock as stiff as it would go - i'm a bigger guy, and added spacers to the front fork springs upping the preload - swapped to heavier fork oil also - This has really improved how it handles on the street.
The love part comes from the handful of times i've ridden it, absolutely gutless down low (hoping fixing the power valves helps that) but once the revs get up over 6000 or so it pulls really nicely. Can't wait to get some off road riding in.

Well sometimes that happens!
Not all the dreams I have bought worked out well. I have a51 Ford 8n tractor that I have about $3500 into and it finally runs like a top. unfortunately I bought a Kubota and if I get $3000 for it I will be happy?
It was a challenge and fun!
