It's a 2006 with 11000km got it for $3000 from my cousin.
Sort of a lame trailer shot, and needs a new battery and a service, but it runs pretty good with a boost and has a few farkles like barkbusters, rear rack and skidplate.

I have had two of them, hard to beat as a all around dualsport bike. You are really going like that bike, stone reliable also. You should do some research, there are a couple reliability mods that "must" be done in my opinion.
-Locktite front sprocket. -manual cam chain tensioner -3x3 mod makes a big diff in hp -then ride it like you stole it

Good bikes. Check out the ProCycle site ( http://www.procycle.us/bikepages/drz400.html#) for all sorts of aftermarket stuff. The "S" model (street legal) was supposed to make 40 HP at the motor stock. The "E" model (off-road only) was supposed to make 48. Apparently the difference is the carb (need the FCR39mm flat slide, I think) and the cams. If you can find an "E" for parts, or find the "E" parts on Ebay or something, you can really perk the bike up. Of course, if you're interested in that you could look at the 440 kits on the ProCycle site. They're bolt-on, and not too much coin. Don't tell SGI - you can't tell the difference from the outside, but they'll want $1000 more per year for plates if they know about it.

Thanks for the congrats and the info on upgrades. I see there is a thread on ADVrider saying you can get it up to 57hp, with the major mods being pumper carb, hot cam, big bore and stroker kit.... but $4000 dollars later....
Was crapping myself a bit when I saw pink snow all under the bike, thought I had some sort of coolant leak. Turned out it was full of farm gas than had spilled when I flooded it cranking it cold.
