What happens if the Tubliss gets punctured?

It's a pretty hard liner. And it's way in there all so.
So it would have to be a sharp long nail.
Regardless you could take to tube out and patch it like any other if you had to. Never heard of such a thing happening though

how many of the tubliss users here carry an air compressor along with plugs ect? I have a spare tube, compressor and patches on my klr at all times. the reality is I will not on the drz. 3 outa 4 flat tires I have had the tube was ruined. All were road/trail side repairs and took an hour or so to fix. The main reason I would want the tubliss is: no need for rim locks, safer lower air pressure. no pinchflats, balancing beads. and less likely to have sudden loss of pressure.
some of the detractions I have in mind: don't think it would take to kindly to patching in the unlikely event. Looks like it could be a pain to change tires?? can't be any worse that 2 beadlocks. initial cost.

i have plugs and mini manual pump. Easier to change tires also lighter then HD tubes also can ride with flat if u have to also crap cant get in the bead. also prevents getting dents in your rim from hitting something Can lead a horse to water but cant make them drink it.

What calltrex said. I don't even carry tire tools anymore. Though I guess I'd carry some plugs or slime type sealant if I was waaaaay out.
Tire changes are half the time after initial install so don't worry about that. It's a little different but much easier.
To give you a little comfort on durability this will be my 4th season on mine with no sign of wear other than normal scuffing on mating surfaces. Both on MX race bike and my enduro. I will never use tubes again given the choice.

Just seen this, was news to me... A number of years ago Travis Pastrana entered the Baja 1000 on a mostly stock drz400...riding the whole race himself. Was in the top 5 with only a few hundred kms to go when his filter got clogged by the silt dust and his bike quit. Just another testament to the durability of a drz http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=JCnSsIpEv9o
