Took the day work off on Monday and we rode up to Nisbet for some trail riding. The trails were in great condition and had a ton of fun. We did a total of 300KM there and back. I definitely noticed the difference trail riding on the 990 after losing the heavy stock silencers... it really flies now. We'll have to plan out another ride up there sometime soon.
I used up most of the camera's battery on the ride up so only got a little bit of the trails before the camera died. Here's some video from the trails:

Grea vid, Ken! I can't believe how fast you ride that big thing in there!
Can't wait to get out there myself, but I'll probably be trucking the XR out. I guess if you ride the more northern trails it's a bit better for bigger bikes. The southern part is way more sandy.

It was a blast. We rode mainly on the southern trails. The video is from the Roddick Cabin Trail up to the railway crossing. Then we made our way northwest for a ways and looped back towards Macdowall and down south on the trail that goes by Lobstick Lake.
We left around 10:30 but didn't actually get to Nisbet until around 2PM. There were a lot of interesting farm roads and ATV trails on the way up (east of the highway by the river). Some great riding and it beat the highway for sure. North of Duck Lake they are working on the divided highway so we rode the sandy ditches all the way up. It was almost as fun as riding the trails.

I was up there 3 weeks ago on the WR250R, and I don't even think I was riding the trails that fast! Ken you make that thing look like a 400!

I just point it in the right direction, twist the throttle and the bike does the rest. I'm continually amazed by the 990.
Tyler, was that you riding around the new evergreen suburb last weekend? I saw someone on a WR tearing around when we were driving around out there.

Don't think it was me, but I do work out in the University Farm fields right next to that so who knows...
To add to your thread here are some pictures of me and a buddy on a WR450f out in Nisbet this weekend!
We went up Friday afternoon and camped just south of Birch Cabin for 2 nights. We put on 300km of trail riding with perfect weather the whole time! No injuries, no break downs, the weekend went well.
