I've come to realize that I can wear goggles on my Zox helmet...it's the kind that already has a clear face shield.
The question is, what do you guys do for goggles? Tinted, mirrored, amber, clear....anti-fog?
And do they really need to cost a hundred bucks? That seems pricey...but then again I don't really know what I'm shopping for.
I also remember hearing someone (Jester maybe?) mention something about using snow goggles for a better fit. How do you know which is which?

Thanks calltrex, I'll have a look at those. Sounds like they come with a clear and a tinted lens, so that cares of that aspect.

Goggles are one of those "get what you pay for" type things. If you spend $100 you'll get fancy venting, probably extra lens, carry bag, stylish colors, nice triple layer foam. If you spend less you usually get less in the box.
The big difference with snow goggles is that they are dual layer lenses so they don't fog from the heat of your face. and dedicated snow goggles are spherical shaped lenses. Makes for a beautiful FOV but a pricey replacement if you're taking roost or highway bugs on the googles!
I also use the Thor Ally and have been really happy with them. They're comfy and keep the dirt out when the guy in front gives you a face full on the trail! I also have a handful of Smith Optics which I really like because of the huge selection of lens tints.
Personally I like mirrored for just about all conditions, but I think I'm in the minority.

Maybe it's just worth buying a new dualsport helmet for the prod goggles

If you ride offroad it's nice to have goggles - cooler on the face, and you're riding at lower speeds anyway. If you're riding onroad I'd stick with the face shield - one rainstorm or swarm of hoppers and you'll be glad you did. I had a buddy who got his face stung up pretty bad in a freak sleet storm on Highway 40 in Alberta wearing goggles. I had my Arai XD face shield down, and while my neck and hands took a few shots I was not too bad.

I use clear lens oakleys, I think I will eventually get some new ones maybe with a slight tint.
